What is a Mastermind?
A mastermind is a small group of people who share similar interests and goals. They meet on a regular basis to discuss struggles and wins that each member is facing, brainstorm solutions, and support each other.
Members of a business mastermind (like this one) don’t have to be in the same industry and is actually encouraged to have a diversity of backgrounds to promote different and creative solutions.
How will I benefit?
As a member of a mastermind, you get exposed to the wisdom of a group of entrepreneurs, different perspectives, and draw on diverse skills and experiences. You’re able to get insights, advice, support, and are held accountable to help shorten your learning curve. You benefit by gaining a clarity of focus, getting inspired, take action and making better decisions.
What’s the difference between group coaching and a mastermind?
A mastermind is a group of individuals who come together to help support each other’s goals. Through collective brain power and experiences, each member are able to work through any problems, brainstorm, and grow. Each member has a different goal or focus but all come together to help support each other and hold each other accountable. Masterminds will have facilitators to help keep the meeting on track, provide feedback and resources, and the conversation flowing.
Group Coaching is centered around a coach supporting the members on a particular topic. All members are there for the same purpose and goal.
Why only 3 months?
This is the very first program, so we’re testing with what everyone loved and what could get better. Three months is great to tackle 90 day goals. This will be the only 3-month program. After this round it’ll be a 6 month or 1 year mastermind option.
Why are we meeting bi-weekly not weekly?
Based off experience and clients, bi-weekly is the sweetspot for ability to attend AND to be able to have the time to tackle the actions and be prepared for the next session. However, I do add the aspect of an accountability partner and I personally do weekly accountability check-ins so no one slips through the cracks.
What happens during meetings?
During meetings, each member will get a chance to be in the hot seat. The “hot seat” is where you share your wins, struggles, lessons learned, current goal/action to accomplish before the next meeting, and how the group can support you.
Do I have to participate in the “hot seat”?
Yes! It is the essence of the mastermind. It’s the opportunity for you to share in a safe space and be provided feedback and support for your goals.
What commitment is expected of members?
Give as much as you get. Commitment to attend meetings on time and fully engage. Listen, ask clarifying questions and provide feedback and/or suggestions.
What if I miss a meeting?
Life, business engagements, and family vacations happen and we totally understand. But involvement in the meetings is critical to success! Contact Tina Marie at email@example.com, if you are unable to make it to a meeting. Meetings are recorded, and you’ll have access to it but you will not be able to participate.
Are there rules for the group? What about confidentiality?
Yes, these will be laid out in your welcome packet. General rules of social engagement that is expected is showing and speaking with respect to all members.
Confidentiality is taken seriously. The mastermind should be a safe space and it is paramount that trust is in place. Every member will sign a non-disclosure agreement
What if my accountability partner doesn’t meet with me?
Although I do my best to pair you up with the best match, there may be times where it’s not a good match. I still do weekly accountability check-ins with every member, so no one gets left behind.
It is up to every member who joins to make the commitment to themselves and to each other in this group.
